Teaching Artist
Jordan Lisi is a teaching artist based in Brooklyn, New York.
The Educational Video Center (EVC) is an award-winning non-profit media organization dedicated to teaching documentary filmmaking to young people.
As an instructor with EVC, I design and teach hands-on documentary filmmaking workshops in public schools across all five boroughs of New York City, fostering skills in creative expression, media literacy, digital technology and film production, teamwork, rhetoric, storytelling, public speaking, and engagement with social justice issues through the medium of documentary filmmaking.
During my tenure with EVC, I have worked with hundreds of students in a wide variety schools across New York City, including but not limited to Bronx Early College Academy, Judith S. Kaye High School, The School of Cooperative Technical Education, High School of Art & Design, New Millennium Bronx Academy of The Arts, Midwood High School, Bronx High School For Violin and Dance, Concord High School, Innovation Diploma Plus, and so many more.
I have also worked as a Teaching Assistant at in the film department at Boston University, and have instructed filmmaking modules at various summer camps in New York and Massachusetts.
